Fashion or Flop? - Margaret Tudor

Margaret Tudor, daughter of King Henry VII and Queen Elizabeth of York, is seen here is a dark brown velvet dress with orange (maybe gold) underskirt and sleeves. Her bell-sleeves are some type of animal print (probably ermine, but I swear it looks like leopard). Carrying the jeweled neck chain (a fashion her mother so loved) from the late 1400's over to the early 1500's was daring! Her matching French Hood certainly completes this very earth-tone ensemble.

  1. I say she's a fashion hit! The animal print sleeves (I think it looks like leopard as well...bonus points in my book!) are very fashion forward! And I'm loving the vintage neck chain! This is a gal willing to take chances!

  2. I feel like under the dress she is wearing some major high heels. She looks rather tall.

  3. I'm really hoping it is leapord print as well. And what outfit isn't complete without a monkey?

  4. I think she looks pretty good! I like the rich tones of her ensemble, and I also love the necklace. And the monkey? Only a true fashionista could rock that! ; )

  5. Lovely, though I've never been a fan of animal prints (tacky), this woman is beautiful and well proportioned and can pull it off. Lose the monkey--lice.
